Outdoor & garden lighting in Lees for paths, patios, driveways and the front of your house. We plan the layout, use weatherproof fittings and safe cable routes, and protect every outdoor circuit with an RCD.

Lights by the front door, along paths and on steps help you get in and out safely after dark. A motion sensor light over the drive or back door switches on when someone approaches, which helps deter intruders without lighting up the garden all night.
Outdoor lights need an IP rating that keeps out rain and dust. IP44 is the usual minimum for wall lights, and ground lights need a higher rating. Low-energy LED fittings cost little to run and are cool to the touch, which suits gardens with children and pets.
Cables in a garden need protection, usually armoured cable buried at a safe depth or fixed along walls and fences. We plan routes that avoid flower beds and places you might dig later. Outdoor sockets can be added at the same time for tools and garden features.
We start with a walk round the outside of your property to agree where the lights will go, how they'll be switched and where the cable will run. We can add timers, sensors or switches indoors. You then get a free quote covering the fittings and the work.
On the day, we run the cable, fit the lights and connect the circuit with RCD protection. If cable needs burying, we dig a trench and backfill it neatly. Everything is tested before we leave, and you get a certificate, with new circuits registered with building control.
Tell us what's wrong or what you need doing. For urgent faults we offer a same day response.
There's no call-out charge. We look at the job and give you a free quote before any work begins.
We finish the work, test it and leave you with the right certificate for the job.
For anything wired into your mains supply, yes. Outdoor circuits need weatherproof fittings, protected cables and RCD protection, and new outdoor circuits are notifiable. Plug-in solar or low-voltage kits can be fitted yourself, but they give less light and are less reliable.
Yes. A sensor light can usually be wired from an existing indoor circuit. We position it so it picks up people on the drive or path without being set off by passing traffic, and we adjust the sensitivity and timer so it suits you.
Buried armoured cable is usually laid deep enough to avoid damage from normal digging, often around half a metre, and deeper under driveways. The route is recorded so you know where it runs. Where burying isn't practical, cable can be fixed along walls or fences instead.
Not with LED fittings. They use a fraction of the power of older halogen lights and last far longer, so you rarely need to replace them. Timers and sensors help further by making sure the lights are only on when you need them, rather than all night.
